Attack: Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus, Gio Reyna, Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland is finally back in the Borussia Dortmund lineup to start 2021 and he will look to pick up right where he left off. In his 8 Bundesliga appearances, Haaland has 10 goals and 2 assists. Dortmund’s next highest scorers are Gio Reyna, Mats Hummels and Marco Reus each with 3 goals.

Behind Haaland, there aren’t a ton of options with Thorgan Hazard out injured. Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus and Gio Reyna are likely to start in the three forward positions behind Haaland. Sancho will be looking to improve on a disappointing end to 2020. While Reus will be aiming to pick up steam and lead Borussia Dortmund’s return to form. Expect the skipper to drop deep and help create chances from a midfield role, as he has done in the games under Edin Terzic so far.

Gio Reyna will be lining up on the left, aiming to pick up where he left off in 2020. The American international was Borussia Dortmund’s breakthrough star last season, and he will have a key role to play in the second half of the season.
