Jadon Sancho (7.5/10)

After a disappointing first half, Jadon Sancho ended up making the difference in the second half. He played the cross in for Akanji’s opener, before keeping his composure to score the second in the 92nd minute. He missed a great chance to score in first half stoppage time, but the Englishman showed great willingness and desire, which was ultimately rewarded after the break.

Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus helped out defensively and won the ball back on a number of occasions. He also forced two good saves from Casteels in the first half. It was an encouraging performance from the Borussia Dortmund captain. He got into some really dangerous positions, even though his decision making wasn’t always the best.

Gio Reyna (5/10)

Reyna struggled to get into the game offensively and Wolfsburg had the measure of him for the majority of the 90 minutes. Despite always being on the run, the 18 year old seemed to lack ideas at times going forward. But he did not shy away from his defensive responsibilities, and he led the team with most tackles won (4).

Erling Haaland (6/10)

Haaland forced a couple of really good saves from Casteels on his return from injury. He looked dangerous and was involved in an intriguing battle with his former teammate Marin Pongracic before being substituted in the 81st minute.
