Bundesliga roundup: Borussia Dortmund return to winning ways, Schalke make it 30 without a win

Borussia Dortmund climbed back into the top four as the Bundesliga made its return after a short winter break.
Matchday 14 of the Bundesliga featured the usual thrills and spills, and goals aplenty as Bayern Munich earned a stunning come from behind win over Mainz, while Borussia Dortmund made their return to winning ways, and Schalke endured yet more misery.
Bayern blow Mainz away with second half comeback
Bayern Munich came from 2-0 down to beat Mainz 5-2 on the back of a stunning second half performance. Goals from Jonathan Burkardt and Alexander Hack gave the relegation candidates a shock two goal lead going into the break. But Bayern returned to level terms with quick-fire goals from Joshua Kimmich and Leroy Sane in the second half.
Niklas Sule then gave the Bundesliga champions the lead, before Robert Lewandowski sealed the win with a late brace. The win helped Bayern maintain their two point lead at the top of the table.
Jadon Sancho finds the net Borussia Dortmund beat Wolfsburg
Borussia Dortmund earned a hard-fought 2-0 win over Wolfsburg thanks to second half goals from Manuel Akanji and Jadon Sancho. Both teams had a number of chances to take the lead, but it was Akanji who scored the opener after heading home from Sancho’s corner in the second half. The Englishman then sealed the win in the 92nd minute after a blistering counter-attacking move.
The win helped Borussia Dortmund overtake Wolfsburg and move into fourth place. The Black and Yellows are still eight points behind Bayern.
