Borussia Dortmund reportedly have VfB Stuttgart winger Tanguy Coulibaly on their list of possible Jadon Sancho replacements, should the Englishman leave next summer.
According to France Football, Borussia Dortmund have an interest in signing the highly rated Tanguy Coulibaly from VfB Stuttgart. The winger is said to be on the Black and Yellows’ list of the possible replacements for Jadon Sancho, who is attracting interest from clubs in the English Premier League.
Sancho was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, and could leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. Liverpool and Chelsea are also thought to be interested in signing Sancho.
Tanguy Coulibaly, who joined VfB Stuttgart on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain in 2019, has shown glimpses of his quality in the Bundesliga this season. The Frenchman has two goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances for Die Roten so far this season. His first goal came in the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, and he followed that up by finding the net in the 5-1 win over Borussia Dortmund last month.
Coulibaly has been used in a number of different positions by Stuttgart head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo this season. He is capable of playing on either wing, as the second striker, and even as the lone number nine. He played the striker’s role to great effect against both Bayern and Borussia Dortmund.
It remains to be seen if Borussia Dortmund have a concrete interest in signing Coulibaly. The 19 year old has two and a half years remaining on his current contract with VfB Stuttgart.
