Defence: Thomas Meunier, Manuel Akanji, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro

Coming off back to back wins, Edin Terzic isn’t likely to rotate much on the back end. Thomas Meunier and Raphael Guerreiro will likely start as the two full-backs for Borussia Dortmund again and will be active down the wings, looking to make things happen against Mainz. Meunier put in an encouraging shift against Leipzig last weekend, and hopefully he will be able to build on that in the game against Mainz.

Manuel Akanji and Mats Hummels have been exceptional for the most part of this season. They performed especially well against Leipzig, and will be aiming to prevent Mainz from testing Roman Bürki’s goal.

Dan-Axel Zagadou is now back to full fitness, and could be an option should Edin Terzic decide to rest one of the two.
