Forwards: Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus, Gio Reyna, Erling Haaland

There likely won’t be many changes up front either for Borussia Dortmund against Mainz. Three of the four starting forwards are in excellent form and have looked dangerous in the last two games. So it would be a surprise if Edin Terzic made any changes to the front four.

The only change could be getting Julian Brandt in for a start so he can get some game time, but with Thorgan Hazard out with injury there aren’t a ton of options in attack. Gio Reyna could make way for Brandt in that case, but the latter is by no means a traditional winger.

We will likely see the same trio of Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus and Gio Reyna in the three positions behind the striker. After a quiet start to the season, both Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus are starting to find their groove in 2021. Sancho has two goals and two assists in his last two games, while Reus set up two goals last weekend.

Erling Haaland will take his usual spot up front for Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian international now has 12 goals in just 10 Bundesliga appearances this season, and will no doubt want to add to that tally against Mainz.
