Manuel Akanji (5/10)

Akanji replaced the injured Dan-Axel Zagadou on the stroke of half time. His game was a bit of a mixed bag. He made a couple of good recoveries and blocks, but also made a sloppy error late on which nearly gave Mainz the win. But luckily for him, Danny Latza hit the post and Raphael Guerreiro was there to mop up.

Youssoufa Moukoko (6/10)

Moukoko came on to replace Jude Bellingham in the second half with Borussia Dortmund searching for an equaliser. He showed great determination to keep the ball in play and delivered the cross which resulted in Thomas Meunier’s goal.
