It goes without saying that Borussia Dortmund missed Erling Haaland immensely when he was injured last month. The Norwegian international is fast establishing himself as one of Europe’s best strikers and already has two goals in three matches in 2021. It’s no coincidence that Dortmund’s upturn in form correlates with his return.

Jadon Sancho has also displayed his attacking threat in recent games, despite struggling against Mainz. A return of three goals and two assists in his last four matches has helped Dortmund power ahead after steadying the ship since Edin Terzić took over as head coach.

As mentioned, the hosts are not usually shy of the goal either. Patrik Schick has scored 5 goals in 12 Bundesliga appearances so far this season. The pace and threat on the counter posed by the likes of Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby could also give the Borussia Dortmund defence a headache.
