Bayer Leverkusen vs Borussia Dortmund: Expected starting lineup for Bundesliga clash

Defence: Thomas Meunier, Manuel Akanji, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro
Fresh off his best performance in a Borussia Dortmund shirt, Thomas Meunier will start once again at right-back. The Belgian international will be looking for a repeat of his performance against Mainz, during which he scored a goal and won a penalty.
With Dan-Axel Zagadou injured and Emre Can suspended, Borussia Dortmund do not have too many options at centre-back. We will see the pairing of Manuel Akanji and Mats Hummels on Tuesday. Akanji was rested against Mainz but had to come on at the stroke of half time after Zagadou’s injury.
Both Akanji and Hummels were far from their best on Saturday, and will need to do much better against a team of Leverkusen’s quality.
Raphael Guerreiro will likely start at left-back, but if the Portuguese international needs a rest, Edin Terzic could look to give Nico Schulz a chance. Whoever plays at left-back will have to be alert defensively with Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey in good form.
