Werder Bremen return to winning ways
Werder Bremen ended a two-game slide by beating Augsburg 2-0 at home. Late goals made the difference in a hard-fought affair at the Weserstadion. Theodor Gebre Selassie handed Bremen the lead in the 84th minute, before youngster Felix Agu sealed the win just three minutes later. The result helped Florian Kohfeldt’s side move up to 12th place in the league table.
Köln, Hertha continue goalscoring woes
Hertha Berlin failed to score yet again, as they played out a goalless draw away to FC Köln. With both teams struggling in the lower reaches of the Bundesliga table, this match was dubbed as a six-pointer. But neither team was able to get going, as the Billy Goats made it six straight games without a league goal.
Hoffenheim held by Arminia Bielefeld
Hoffenheim and Arminia Bielefeld also played out a goalless draw, with both defences holding firm to keep a clean sheet. Neither team really looked like scoring in what was a cagey affair in Sinsheim.
