Mahmoud Dahoud could still leave Borussia Dortmund this month after falling out of favour under Edin Terzic. According to Sport1, a move away from the club in the current transfer window is not out of the question for the midfielder. The report claims that French sides AS Monaco and Olympique Marseille are among many clubs who have expressed an interest in signing Dahoud, although Borussia Dortmund have not received any concrete offers for the midfielder yet.

Dahoud made an impressive start to the season and his form even helped him earn his first cap for the German national team in October. But he has found opportunities hard to come by in recent weeks. He has been limited to just eight appearances so far this season and hasn’t featured since being subbed off at half time in the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt last month.

Would Borussia Dortmund be willing to let Mahmoud Dahoud leave this month?

Dahoud even failed to make the Borussia Dortmund bench for two games earlier this month, and only a long-term injury to Axel Witsel saw him earn a recall to the squad. Edin Terzic was asked about Dahoud earlier this week, and said that the midfielder remains a part of his plans.

"“Mo is part of the team. Of course we are considering him. A few days ago we had a slightly different situation. We had a lot of options in that position. I have to make tough decisions, this was one of those tough decisions. Mo is training well, stepping on the gas in training.”"

Dahoud, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2017, has 18 months left on his current contract. It remains to be seen if the BVB bosses would be willing to let him leave this month, especially with Witsel expected to miss the rest of the season.

With the Black and Yellows still competing in three competitions, they will not be too keen on reducing their squad size this month.
