Borussia Dortmund return to Bundesliga action this weekend as they make the trip to SC Freiburg. After surviving a big scare in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday, the Black and Yellows will be hoping for a straight-forward win on Saturday. But Freiburg are always hard to beat, and could make things very difficult for Dortmund.

Freiburg suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat away to Wolfsburg last weekend, but haven’t lost at home since November. Christian Streich’s are currently ninth in the Bundesliga standings, just five points behind Borussia Dortmund. They came close to earning a point away to Bayern Munich not too long ago, and they’ll be aiming to keep their impressive home record going this weekend.

Borussia Dortmund go into the game on the back of two straight wins, but they were far from convincing in both games. Edin Terzic’s side enjoyed a comeback win over FC Augsburg last weekend, and needed extra time to beat Paderborn in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday. Things won’t get any easier this weekend against a physical Freiburg side. But Dortmund cannot afford to drop points and risk falling further behind their top four rivals at this stage of the season.
