Borussia Dortmund face a tough test against TSG Hoffenheim this weekend as they look to return to winning ways in the Bundesliga. After suffering a 2-1 defeat to SC Freiburg last Saturday, the Black and Yellows find themselves in sixth place in the Bundesliga standings. And anything other than a win over Hoffenheim would only increase the mounting pressure on Edin Terzic’s side.

Last weekend’s defeat to Freiburg means that Borussia Dortmund have now lost three of their last four games in the Bundesliga. Their attack seems to be misfiring a bit at the moment, and their defensive lapses are being highlighted once again. With big games against the likes of Sevilla, Schalke, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich coming up in the next few weeks, BVB are in desperate need of a morale boosting win. But beating Hoffenheim is never easy, as Dortmund have found out in recent years.

Hoffenheim’s form does not make for pretty reading either. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have won just two of their last ten games, and go into Saturday’s clash on the back of two straight defeats. They were convincingly beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, and currently find themselves in 12th place in the league table.
But the last time they visited the Signal Iduna Park, Hoffenheim hit four past Borussia Dortmund. And they will be looking to take inspiration from that result ahead of Saturday’s game.
