Previous Meeting: TSG Hoffenheim 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

The reverse fixture between Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim saw the Black and Yellows earn a narrow 1-0 win. Marco Reus and Erling Haaland came off the bench to great effect, as the Borussia Dortmund captain scored the decisive goal to seal the victory for his side.

It was a well-earned win for Dortmund, who were without centre-backs Manuel Akanji and Dan-Axel Zagadou, while Lukasz Piszczek was forced off with injury, forcing Thomas Delaney to play in the back three with Emre Can and Mats Hummels for the majority of the game.

Borussia Dortmund had the chances to add to their lead late in the second half, but poor finishing let them down.
