Borussia Dortmund to face Liverpool, Manchester City competition for Florian Neuhaus signature

A number of big clubs in Europe are queueing up to sign Florian Neuhaus, with the Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder having a release clause of 40 million euros in his contract. According to Kicker, Borussia Dortmund are interested in the 23 year old, but face competition from Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus for his signature.
Neuhaus has been one of Gladbach’s best performers so far this season, and has six goals and six assists to his name in 28 appearances across all competitions. His performances have helped him attract the interest of Europe’s elite, and he could be on the move in the summer.
Kicker report that Neuhaus feels right at home at Borussia Mönchengladbach at the moment, and still has three and a half years remaining on his contract with the Foals. But the opportunity to join one of Europe’s top clubs in the summer may well be too good to turn down.
Borussia Dortmund want Gladbach head coach Marco Rose as well as Florian Neuhaus
Borussia Dortmund are also interested in bringing in Marco Rose, who is Neuhaus’ current head coach at Borussia Mönchengladbach. And the BVB bosses will be hopeful that appointing Rose as head coach will also help them sign the highly rated midfielder in the summer. Rose has a clause of five million euros in his contract, which expires at the end of May.
If Borussia Dortmund do manage to sign Neuhaus this summer, he would become their record transfer. Mats Hummels is currently the Black and Yellows’ most expensive signing, having joined from Bayern Munich in 2019 for a fee of 30.5 million euros.
