Marco Rose could be announced as Borussia Dortmund’s new permanent head coach as early as this month, according to Kicker. The Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach has been heavily linked with the BVB job in recent weeks and has a release clause of five million euros in his contract which can be activated before the end of May.

It has long been reported that Rose is Borussia Dortmund’s preferred candidate to take over next season. The 44 year old has made quite an impression on the BVB bosses with the work he has done in Mönchengladbach. And Kicker believe that the only question that remains now is when the move can be made official. Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl said earlier this month that Rose has not made a decision on his future yet.

Rose has kept his cards close to his chest so far. But he did say after Borussia Mönchengladbach’s goalless daw against Wolfsburg on Sunday, that his decision will be announced “at the right time.” The former RB Salzburg head coach has just under 18 months left on his contract with the Foals.

Borussia Dortmund are looking for a new permanent head coach, having parted ways with Lucien Favre in December. Former assistant coach Edin Terzic was given the job until the end of the season, but it is highly unlikely that he will be in charge next season.
