Coming off a 2-2 draw against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund turn their attentions to Sevilla in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Wednesday. But they will have to make do without several first-team players for the trip to Spain.

Edin Terzic confirmed during his pre-match press conference on Monday that Thorgan Hazard will miss the Sevilla clash despite returning to training last week. The Belgian international suffered a muscle injury in December and has been out of action since. There is some good news though, as Thomas Meunier could be in with a chance of returning to the team after missing the last four games with a knee injury.

The Borussia Dortmund head coach also confirmed on Monday that Roman Bürki, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Lukasz Piszczek will not make it back in time for Wednesday’s crunch clash. Marwin Hitz is set to keep his place in goal for the Sevilla game in Bürki’s absence. Lukasz Piszczek picked up a muscle injury last week and he received treatment at the training ground on Sunday. Dan-Axel Zagadou has been out with a torn muscle fibre and will not be available, although Terzic did reveal that he is back in training.

Marco Reus will likely make his return to the starting XI against Sevilla after starting the Hoffenheim game on the bench. It will be interesting to see if Edin Terzic decides to make big changes for the Champions League clash.
