Borussia Dortmund have named a 22-man squad for their UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg match against Sevilla. The Black and Yellows flew to Spain on Tuesday morning ahead of Wednesday’s crunch clash.

Thomas Meunier is back in the squad after missing the last four games due to a knee injury. The Belgian international could replace Emre Can at right back on Wednesday.

One player who was not part of the traveling squad is Thomas Delaney. The midfielder and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child, so he has stayed in Dortmund for now. But Delaney could still play against Sevilla on Wednesday evening. The Black and Yellows have announced that the 29 year old is expected to fly to Seville on a private plane later.

Borussia Dortmund will be without a number of key players against Sevilla, including Thorgan Hazard (back in training), Dan-Axel Zagadou (back in training), Lukasz Piszczek (muscle injury), Roman Bürki (shoulder injury), Axel Witsel (torn achilles tendon) and Marcel Schmelzer (rehab after knee surgery).

Highly rated youngsters Ansgar Knauff and Youssoufa Moukoko have traveled with the squad to Seville. As has striker Steffen Tigges, who scored a brace for the Borussia Dortmund U-23s on Sunday.

Borussia Dortmund take on Sevilla FC in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie on Wednesday (kick-off: 21:00 CET, 20:00 GMT, 15:00 ET). The second leg is due to take place on March 09.
