Borussia Dortmund return to Champions League action on Wednesday as they kick off the first leg of their round of 16 tie with Sevilla. Dortmund have been far from their best in recent weeks and are sitting in sixth place in the Bundesliga standings. With eight losses through 21 games, this season is definitely not going the way Dortmund were expecting.

The Bundesliga title is well out of Borussia Dortmund’s reach, and they have turned now their attentions to finishing in the top four and performing well in the DFB Pokal and the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund will be without several key players in this tie, Roman Bürki, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Axel Witsel, Lukasz Piszczek and Thorgan Hazard will be missing. Thomas Meunier has made the trip and will be on the bench. Here is a look at how Borussia Dortmund will line up.

Goalkeeper: Marwin Hitz

With Roman Bürki still injured, Marwin Hitz will be in goal once again for Borussia Dortmund. Hitz hasn’t been in great form since coming in for the injured Bürki. His errors have cost the team in each of the last two games, and he will no doubt be looking to put in a much improved performance on Wednesday.
