Jadon Sancho (7/10)

Sancho showed his quality with an excellent one-two with Erling Haaland to set up the second goal for Borussia Dortmund. He did not put in enough effort to stop Suso when he had the chance before the Spaniard’s early goal, but performed his defensive duties really well in the second half. He also came close to making it 4-2 late on.

Marco Reus (7/10)

Reus made the third Borussia Dortmund goal happen by winning the ball high up the pitch and then playing a well-weighted pass to Erling Haaland. The BVB skipper worked really hard off the ball, and did not give Sevilla any space in possession. The assist brought up Marco Reus’ first goal contribution in the Champions League since December 2019 (2-1 win over Slavia Praha).

Erling Haaland (10/10)

Haaland led the way for Borussia Dortmund by scoring two of the three goals and assisting Dahoud’s opener. His energy in the final third and his hard work both on and off the ball made him a nightmare for the two Sevilla centre-backs to deal with. He was hardly involved in the second half, but by then, he had already caused the damage.
