Borussia Dortmund face Schalke 04 this weekend in what could be the final meeting between the two arch-rivals for at least 18 months.
Borussia Dortmund are coming off a big win in the UEFA Champions League against Sevilla, beating the hosts 3-2. It wasn’t a perfect game by any means, but Dortmund scored three away goals and took the upper hand in the tie. It will no doubt be a huge momentum boost for them.
Back in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund have faced some struggles recently, winning only one of their last six matches. Regardless of Schalke’s position in the table, they will not be making it easy for the Black and Yellows on Saturday.
Borussia Dortmund will be without Roman Bürki as well as Manuel Akanji, with the centre back having a muscle injury.

Marwin Hitz will continue to deputise for the injured Roman Bürki, with the first choice BVB goalkeeper still out injured. Hitz had made sloppy errors in each of the last two Bundesliga games, but will need to be at his best on Saturday.
