Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Schalke: Haaland, Sancho star in dominant derby win

Erling Haaland scored a brace and Jadon Sancho got a goal and an assist as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Schalke 4-0 to earn the Revierderby bragging rights once again. It was a dominant performance from the Black and Yellows, who never really looked like losing.
After Jadon Sancho gave Borussia Dortmund the lead in the 42nd minute, Erling Haaland made it 2-0 with a stunning scissor kick late in the first half. Raphael Guerreiro then added a third in the second half, before Haaland doubled his tally to make it 4-0 and seal a comprehensive win.
It was a must-win game for Borussia Dortmund, and they certainly stepped up to keep pace with the top four and put their arch-rivals on the cusp of relegation. Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from the game.

Hitz wasn’t tested a lot apart from a ten minute period of Schalke dominance in the second half. During that period, the Swiss shot stopper made a couple of impressive saves to earn his clean sheet.
