Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Arminia Bielefeld: Jadon Sancho leads BVB to dominant win
By Tushar Bahl
Mateu Morey (7/10)
Morey kept his place in the team ahead of Thomas Meunier and showed once again why Edin Terzic has been keeping faith in him. The Spaniard made a vital tackle in the first half to deny what would have been a clear cut chance for Cordova. He pushed forward on every chance he got, and linked up really well with his teammates for the majority of the game.
It was another strong performance from Morey, who is quickly establishing himself as the first choice right-back for Borussia Dortmund.
Emre Can (6.5/10)
Emre Can had a solid game at centre-back in the absence of the injured Manuel Akanji. The German international did his job reliably and also made some important tackles for his side. He defended well and helped make sure that Hitz was rarely troubled in the Borussia Dortmund goal.
Mats Hummels (6.5/10)
Even though Cordova caused him a few problems, Hummels had things under control for the large part of the 90 minutes. The Borussia Dortmund vice-captain also played a number of dangerous forward passes and won the majority of his duels before being replaced by the returning Dan-Axel Zagadou late on.
Raphael Guerreiro (6.5/10)
Guerreiro’s exquisite link-up play in the final third was on show once again, even though his final pass wasn’t always accurate. He combined really well with Sancho in the build-up to the penalty, and then came close to making it 4-0 late on.
