Borussia Dortmund host Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday with the hopes of closing the gap on fourth placed Eintracht Frankfurt.

Borussia Dortmund have dropped down to sixth place in the Bundesliga table and now face an uphill battle to get back into the top four in the Bundesliga. With Frankfurt dropping points on Friday, Dortmund have a chance to move to within three points of the Eagles.

Borussia Dortmund could get some reinforcements this weekend with Roman Burki, Thorgan Hazard, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Lukasz Piszczek all returning to training. While that is great news, it is unlikely any of them are rushed back into the starting XI. Dortmund have had their fair share of injury troubles this season and cannot afford to rush players back and risk further injuries.

Borussia Dortmund will be coming into this game brimming with confidence after their dominant win over Schalke last weekend. The usual suspects were on the score-sheet again, with Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro finding the net.

While a win against Schalke is a massive boost, the Black and Yellows need to start racking up the wins in the Bundesliga. Edin Terzic’s side cannot afford to keep dropping points in winnable games if they want to make a serious push for the top four, which is crucial for the coming season.
