Borussia Dortmund go up against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday. But all eyes ahead of the game will no doubt be on Gladbach head coach Marco Rose, who is set to make the switch to Dortmund in the summer. And with a place in the DFB-Pokal semi-finals up for grabs, we could be in for yet another entertaining contest between two of Germany’s most talented teams.

Borussia Mönchengladbach are going through a bit of a crisis at the moment, with no wins in their last five games. It looked like they would be arresting their slump when they raced to a two-goal lead against RB Leipzig at the weekend. But a second half comeback from Leipzig made it three defeats in a row for the Foals. With anger from fans showing no signs of letting up, Marco Rose is under immense pressure heading into the game against his future employers.

Having won each of their last three games, Borussia Dortmund are in excellent form heading into the DFB-Pokal quarterfinals. The Black and Yellows will view the DFB-Pokal as a competition they have a realistic chance of winning this season. They prepared for the Gladbach tie by earning a straight-forward 3-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld at the weekend. And if they play like they have done in recent weeks, they shouldn’t have too much trouble dispatching a struggling Gladbach side.
