RB Leipzig came from two goals down to stun Gladbach, while Borussia Dortmund closed the gap on fourth placed Eintracht Frankfurt in what was a thrilling weekend of Bundesliga action.
Borussia Mönchengladbach’s trip to RB Leipzig headlined another action-packed weekend in the Bundesliga. The Foals raced to an early two goal lead courtesy of Jonas Hofmann and Marcus Thuram. But Leipzig reaped the rewards for their dominant second half showing, as they completely turned the game around.
Christopher Nkunku halved the deficit in the 57th minute, before Yussuf Poulsen equalised for Julian Nagelsmann’s side. Alexander Sørloth then scored an injury-time winner to keep Leipzig within two points of league leaders Bayern Munich.
Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry both scored twice as Bayern Munich enjoyed a comfortable 5-1 win at home to FC Köln. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting also found the net for the Bavarians, while Ellyes Skhiri scored a consolation goal for the Billy Goats.
Borussia Dortmund continued their fine run of form with a 3-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld. Mahmoud Dahoud, Jadon Sancho and Reinier scored to give the Black and Yellows a dominant victory. The win helped Dortmund halve the gap to Eintracht Frankfurt, who suffered a 2-1 loss away to Werder Bremen. The Eagles actually took the lead through André Silva early on, but second half goals Theodor Gebre Selassie and Josh Sargent helped Bremen turn things and seal an unlikely win.
