Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Gladbach: Jadon Sancho the difference maker once again
By Tushar Bahl
Thomas Delaney (6/10)
Delaney made his return to the team and put in a strong shift in defensive midfield. The Dane made several vital tackles, including a strong challenge on Pléa in the first half. He didn’t do much wrong defensively, but also had little impact on Borussia Dortmund’s build-up play.
Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)
Dahoud may not have been as influential as he has been in recent games, but he still put in a hard-working shift for his team. He was booked early on, but did not let that stop him from playing his natural game. He played with great energy and always looked to put pressure on the Gladbach midfielders. His passes weren’t always accurate, but he wasn’t afraid of taking risks in midfield either.
The late sending off put a damper on what was otherwise another encouraging performance from the German international.
Jude Bellingham (5.5/10)
Bellingham worked very hard for the team and once again showed glimpses of his talent. He seemed to be lacking a bit of composure going forward, and his decision making wasn’t always the best. But he was always looking to get stuck in, and wasn’t afraid of getting into duels with the Gladbach midfielders.
