Midfielders: Thomas Delaney, Emre Can, Mahmoud Dahoud

Thomas Delaney overcame his illness to play 90 minutes against Gladbach on Tuesday. And he will have a vital role to play in defensive midfield this weekend against Bayern.

Emre Can has done a solid job filling in at centre-back in the absence of the injured Manuel Akanji. But he returns to add some steel and physicality to the middle of the park. Can’s performance will be vital to Borussia Dortmund’s chances of victory against Bayern.

Mahmoud Dahoud deserves to keep his place in the starting XI, having made a big impact in the last four games. His high energy pressing and ability to play the ball forward quickly will be crucial against a team like Bayern Munich.
