Thomas Meunier (4/10)

Meunier made his return to the starting XI, replacing Mateu Morey in the side. He made a decent start to the game, but things quickly unravelled for him. The Belgian international was played in on goal in the 25th minute and had a great chance to take the shot or square the ball to Haaland, who would have had a tap-in. Unfortunately, he made a mess of his pass and Bayern made it 2-1 just a couple of minutes later.

Coman caused Meunier all sorts of problems after that, and he simply couldn’t cope with the pressure. His 88th minute clearance also fell to Goretzka on the edge of the box, who made it 3-2 for Bayern.

Thomas Delaney (6/10)

Delaney had a good first half and shielded his defence really well. He won the ball back well and set up Haaland for the early opener. The Dane continued to battle for his side against the dangerous Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich, although his forward passing did leave a lot to be desired. He ran out of steam in the second half and had to be subbed off in the 69th minute.

Mahmoud Dahoud (5.5/10)

Dahoud clumsily gave away the penalty which brought Bayern level. But his high energy and pressing caused Bayern all sorts of problems early on. The German international also played a stunning cross field pass in the build-up to the second goal. He was rendered rather ineffective in the second half, with Bayern applying all sorts of pressure and no attacking runners for him to feed on the counter.

Nico Schulz (5/10)

Schulz played a fine through ball for Thorgan Hazard in the lead up to the second goal. He did not have any impact going forward after that, and the dangerous Leroy Sané caused him a lot of problems defensively.
