Borussia Dortmund will continue to be without the injured Jadon Sancho and Manuel Akanji for Saturday’s clash against Hertha Berlin. While Raphael Guerreiro and Gio Reyna are being monitored on a day-to-day basis. And a decision on their availability will be made on Friday, Edin Terzic has confirmed.

Terzic also revealed during his pre-match press conference that Akanji has been making good progress and is due to return to team training on Friday. If everything goes well, Borussia Dortmund will be hopeful of having him back in the squad for next weekend’s trip to FC Köln. Sancho remains out until April with a muscle injury, and will miss at least the next two games as well as the international fixtures for England later this month.

"“Manuel Akanji has increased his workload and should return to team training tomorrow,” Terzic said. “He will not be able to play this weekend.”“With Raphael Guerreiro and Gio Reyna we have to look from day to day. Maybe they will be able to play against Hertha, we have to wait until tomorrow for more updates. With Jadon Sancho, the situation is unchanged.”"

Ruhr Nachrichten reported on Wednesday that Reyna is the likeliest of the injured players to be back for the game against Hertha BSC on Saturday. The newspaper added that Guerreiro is unlikely to be fit in time to play against the capital club.

Nico Schulz has filled in for Guerreiro in the last two games, and will keep his place in the starting XI if the Portuguese international is not able to play against Hertha.
