Jude Bellingham may only be 17, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming a regular starter for Borussia Dortmund. He has exceeded all expectations since his summer move from Birmingham City, and is showing maturity beyond his years. Now Michael Zorc has praised the young midfielder.

Speaking to Ruhr Nachrichten, the Borussia Dortmund sporting director lauded Bellingham’s presence in the middle of the park.

"“His presence is quite impressive. He still has a lot to learn, but he’s already doing a lot of things right. He can be found almost everywhere between the two penalty areas, and that is what makes him stand out.”"

Bellingham’s determination and commitment have helped him quickly become a fan favourite at Borussia Dortmund. He is always full of energy and never stops running or working hard for the team.

Bellingham has made a total of 34 appearances for the Black and Yellows so far this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists. Only three Dortmund players have played in more games so far this season (Marco Reus, Mats Hummels and Julian Brandt). He came close to scoring his first Bundesliga goal at the weekend, but was denied by an excellent save by the goalkeeper.

Axel Witsel also raved about Bellingham last week, saying that he loves the 17 year old’s style of play. In an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, Witsel said: “I love Jude Bellingham’s playing style. He’s young, talented, everywhere on the pitch.”

Bellingham’s excellent performances in Dortmund saw him earn his first England call-up in November. He became the third youngest player to ever play for the Three Lions when he made his debut against the Republic of Ireland. Fast forward to four months later, and Bellingham is now well in contention to be named in the England squad for this summer’s European Championships.
