Borussia Dortmund to face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals

Borussia Dortmund will take on English Premier League giants Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals took place on Friday, and it delivered some very exciting match-ups. Borussia Dortmund will go up against Manchester City, while Bayern Munich will face Paris St. Germain in what will be a repeat of last season’s final. Real Madrid will take on Liverpool, and Porto will face Chelsea in the other two quarter-finals.

The semi-finals of this season’s UEFA Champions League will see Borussia Dortmund/Manchester City go up against the winner of the tie between Bayern Munich and Paris St. Germain. While Real Madrid/Liverpool will face one of Porto and Chelsea in the final four.

But in order to reach the semi-finals, Borussia Dortmund must first overcome the tough challenge of Manchester City, who are enjoying an excellent season in all competitions. Pep Guardiola’s side are on course to win the English Premier League and cruised past Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Champions League round of 16.

The UEFA Champions League quarterfinals will get underway after this month’s international break. The first leg of the tie will be held at the Etihad Stadium on April 06, 2021. While the second leg will take place a week later at the Signal Iduna Park on April 14, 2021. If Borussia Dortmund qualify for the semifinals, they will play the first leg away on April 27/28, 2021, and the second leg at home on May 04/05, 2021.
