Borussia Dortmund have five players out on loan at the moment. Here we take a look at how they have been performing this season.

Leonardo Balerdi, Marius Wolf, Immanuel Pherai, Sergio Gomez and Jeremy Toljan are the five Borussia Dortmund players who left the club on a temporary basis in the summer transfer window. While the future of Jeremy Toljan has already been decided, it remains to be seen where the other four BVB loanees will play beyond the end of the season.

Marius Wolf – FC Köln

Marius Wolf was loaned out to FC Köln in the summer transfer window and has been a regular starter for the Billy Goats since the start of the season. The versatile wide player has been used in a number of different roles by head coach Markus Gisdol, and has made a total of 25 appearances so far this season.

Wolf has two goals to his name so far, with both of them coming in the win over Arminia Bielefeld in January. The 25 year old has put in some impressive performances for Köln, including in the 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in November. But just like the rest of his teammates, he hasn’t been able to deliver a string of good performances yet.

With Köln struggling in 16th place, relegation to the 2. Bundesliga appears to be a real possibility this season. And Wolf will have to be at his very best in the coming weeks to help keep his temporary club in the Bundesliga.

As far as Wolf’s Borussia Dortmund future is concerned, Michael Zorc said last week that they have not made a final decision yet. Wolf still has more than two years left on his contract with the Black and Yellows.
