Borussia Dortmund have received a big boost ahead of the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City, with both Marco Reus and Mats Hummels back in training.

Both Reus and Hummels had to be subbed off during the game against Stuttgart. The duo were listed as doubts by head coach Edin Terzic during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. But with both players now back in training, there is a good chance that they will be in the starting XI on Wednesday.

Marco Reus has scored in each of the last two games, so he will have a crucial role to play in the second leg. Mats Hummels will also be key as Borussia Dortmund look to overturn the first-leg deficit and qualify for the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since the 2012/13 season.

While Reus and Hummels did take part in the final training session before the game, Thomas Delaney did not. It remains to be seen why the midfielder missed the session and whether he will be available to play on Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Jadon Sancho on Wednesday, as he continues his recovery from his muscle injury. Edin Terzic said during his pre-match press conference that BVB hope to have Jadon Sancho available for selection again as soon as possible.
