Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus put in another encouraging performance, helping out on both ends of the pitch. He led his side with chances created (2) and also tackles won (3). The Borussia Dortmund captain looked very active at all times, but almost played as a wing-back after the opening goal because of Man City’s attacking threat.

Ansgar Knauff (5/10)

Knauff wasn’t really able to make the desired impact in attack. Like Reus, he also tracked back to help out defensively. But going forward, he was kept quiet by the Manchester City defence. He looked overwhelmed at times and his decision making suffered as a result.

Erling Haaland (5.5/10)

Haaland worked hard for the team and did really well to get on the end of Emre Can’s long ball which led to the opening goal. He cut an isolated figure for the majority of the game after that, and only managed one shot over the course of the 90 minutes.
