Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Werder Bremen: Haaland, Reyna star in dominant 4-1 win
By Tushar Bahl
Julian Brandt (5/10)
Brandt made a surprise return to the starting XI. He had some encouraging moments and began a couple of dangerous attacks. But he also left a lot of space for Werder Bremen to counter attack. Thorgan Hazard offered a much bigger threat than Brandt after replacing him in the 77th minute.
Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)
Dahoud was asked to play in a slightly deeper role in the absence of Thomas Delaney. He did not look as comfortable as he usually is when playing in the number eight role with a defensive midfielder behind him. Still he worked hard and did a fairly decent job for his side. He was replaced by Emre Can just after the hour mark.
Jude Bellingham (6.5/10)
Bellingham continued his fine run of form with a solid performance in midfield against Werder Bremen. He pressed high up the pitch and looked to get forward with the ball at his feet. He was full of energy and covered more ground than any other Borussia Dortmund player on the pitch. And he also forced a fine save from the Bremen goalkeeper late in the first half.
