Marco Reus (6.5/10)

Reus did really well to win the penalty which Haaland converted to give Borussia Dortmund the lead. He looked lively at times and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions in the second half.

Gio Reyna (8/10)

Reyna showed just how good he can be when he is on his game. The 18 year old played with a lot more confidence than he has in recent weeks, and scored the equaliser with a stunning strike from the edge of the box. He then helped set up Haaland’s second goal and caused all sorts of problems to the Werder Bremen defenders.

The USMNT international should have had a brace, but he missed a golden chance to make it 4-1 in the second half. Still, it was easily Reyna’s best performance of 2021 so far.

Erling Haaland (7.5/10)

Like Reyna, Haaland also found his form and scored a vital brace to end his goal drought. He could have easily ended the day with a hat-trick, but was denied by some good saves from the Werder Bremen goalkeeper. He also had a goal ruled out for offside in the 83rd minute.
