Defenders: Lukasz Piszczek, Manuel Akanji, Emre Can, Raphael Guerreiro

Edin Terzic has gone with Emre Can, who has filled in at centre-back on numerous occasions this season, to start alongside Manuel Akanji in the heart of the Borussia Dortmund defence. With Mats Hummels out injured, Akanji will have to lead the defence against a strong Wolfsburg forward line.

Mateu Morey is on the bench once again, with Lukasz Piszczek getting the nod to start for the second game running. The Spaniard has struggled a bit in recent weeks, and it looks like Piszczek may well have displaced him as first choice at right-back.

Starting at left-back will be Raphael Guerreiro, who scored his fifth goal of the season on Wednesday. The Portuguese international’s performance on both ends of the pitch will be key to Dortmund’s hopes of getting the three points.
