Jadon Sancho (6/10)

Sancho showed glimpses of his quality and caused the Wolfsburg defenders a few problems in the first half. He set up a good chance for Haaland early in the second half, before being replaced Thomas Delaney at the hour mark.

Marco Reus (7/10)

Reus showed once again just how important he is for Borussia Dortmund with a strong all-round performance. He looked dangerous going forward in the first half and fought hard for the team, even if his decision making in the final third wasn’t always the best. He also helped out defensively on a number of occasions, and made a game-high four interceptions.

Gio Reyna (5.5/10)

Reyna looked active and put a good shift in for the team. But he wasn’t able to make any impact on the game going forward. He was taken off for Thorgan Hazard in the 68th minute.

Erling Haaland (8/10)

Haaland recovered from his disappointing night against Union Berlin to lift his team to victory against Wolfsburg with a world class performance. Not only did he score both goals with great composure, but he also worked very hard for the team and held the ball up really well at times. He could have ended the game with a hat-trick, but missed a couple of chances in the second half. Still, it was a stunning performance by the Norwegian striker, who now has 37 goals to his name this season.
