Bundesliga coaching carousel: Julian Nagelsmann wants to join Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig want €25 million

The Bundesliga coaching carousel is in full flow and Julian Nagelsmann could be set to become the most expensive head coach in history, with Bayern Munich eyeing the RB Leipzig head coach to replace the outgoing Hansi Flick.
Earlier this month, Hansi Flick declared his desire to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. While the Bavarians have yet to officially announce Flick’s departure, they have begun their search for his successor.
According to multiple reports in Germany, the Bayern bosses have made contact with RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann. Negotiations are reportedly underway between the two clubs, and Kicker report that Leipzig want a fee of 25 million euros to part ways with their head coach. The magazine adds that the 33 year old has asked the RB Leipzig management to terminate his contract early so that he can join Bayern Munich
If Bayern agree to pay the fee being demanded by RB Leipzig, it would make Nagelsmann the most expensive head coach of all time. Currently, that record is held by André Villas-Boas, who moved from FC Porto to Chelsea in 2011 for 15 million euros.
Nagelsmann has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks. But it now looks increasingly likely that he will be the next Bayern Munich head coach.
According to Kicker, RB Salzburg head coach Jesse Marsch would be the logical successor to Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig. Marsch worked at RB Leipzig during the 2018–19 season as an assistant coach to Ralf Rangnick before becoming the RB Salzburg head coach.
