Team News

Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Mahmoud Dahoud, who was sent off in the DFB-Pokal quarter-final against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Mats Hummels will return after missing last weekend’s game against Wolfsburg through suspension.

There aren’t any new injury concerns for Edin Terzic’s sid, but Youssoufa Moukoko, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Axel Witsel and Marcel Schmelzer remain out.

Holstein Kiel will be without Stefan Thesker and Mikkel Kirkeskov, with both players out due to achilles tendon injuries. Aleksandar Ignjovski is back in training but could miss the game.

Former Borussia Dortmund youth team player Janni Serra is expected to lead the line for the second division side.
