Edin Terzic is being linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund, with many Bundesliga sides reportedly interested in appointing him as head coach. But Michael Zorc has said that the Black and Yellows are planning with Terzic for next season.

Zorc was asked about Terzic’s future during the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s DFB-Pokal semi-final against Holstein Kiel. The Borussia Dortmund sporting director said:

"“We are definitely planning to have Edin in the coaching team for next season. We hope that nothing will change in this regard. But the prices for coaches are rising right now, so we’ll wait and see (laughs).”"

Terzic, who was appointed Borussia Dortmund head coach until the end of the season following Lucien Favre’s sacking in December, also spoke about his future during the press conference. But he did not want to get drawn into the rumours, and said that he is only focusing on helping BVB achieve their targets for the season.

"“It was clear to me that this question would come. I don’t want to play this game. Football is a day-to-day business. I’m very happy in the position I’m in now, but I was also very happy in the position I was in before.”“We have made it clear what my future will look like. At the moment, there is only one topic for me: we want to get into the Champions League and, if possible, bring the cup to Dortmund.”"

Terzic’s future has been subject to a lot of speculation in recent days. The Bundesliga coaching carousel is in full swing, with a number of jobs opening up. And Terzic’s impressive impact at Borussia Dortmund has meant that his name is also being thrown into the hat for several positions.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, VfL Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen are both interested in appointing Edin Terzic as head coach next season. While Sport1 claim that Bayer Leverkusen and FC Köln are also looking closely at the 38 year old.

With Marco Rose set to become the Borussia Dortmund head coach next season, Edin Terzic is currently expected to stay on as part of the coaching staff. But the situation could still change if he gets an offer to become head coach at another Bundesliga club.
