Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Holstein Kiel: Through to the DFB-Pokal final
By Tushar Bahl
Jadon Sancho (7.5/10)
Sancho may not have gotten on the scoresheet, but he played a crucial role in the win. He played an impressive four key passes and assisted two of the five goals. He caused the Kiel defence all sorts of problems with his quality. And he also came close to scoring on a couple of occasions. Some of his link-up play with Raphael Guerreiro on the left flank was a joy to watch.
Marco Reus (8/10)
Reus delivered a performance of the highest quality, and was involved in two of the five Borussia Dortmund goals. His work in the build up to the second goal was excellent, and he then got on the scoresheet to make it 3-0 soon after. The Borussia Dortmund captain was also able to get a bit of rest in the second half, with Reinier coming on to replace him.
Gio Reyna (8/10)
Reyna gave Borussia Dortmund the lead before adding a second from close range just six minutes later. He came close to completing his hat-trick before half time, and was substituted before the start of the second half. It was a lively performance from the 18 year old, who is back in form after his recent slump.
Thorgan Hazard (7/10)
Hazard showed great determination to chase the loose ball, beat the defender and make it 4-0 in the 32nd minute. He showed glimpses of his quality over the course of the 90 minutes and worked really hard for the team. It was certainly a very encouraging performance from the Belgian international.
