Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig will lock horns in the final of the DFB-Pokal at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Thursday.
Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to win the DFB-Pokal for the fifth time in the club’s history, and for the first time since the 2016/17 season. While RB Leipzig will be looking to win their first-ever trophy. They have only reached the Pokal final once before (in 2019), when they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.

RB Leipzig were far from their best during their 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. And they will no doubt want to improve on that in the DFB-Pokal final. Die Roten Bullen go into Thursday’s clash with just three wins in their last seven games.
RB Leipzig have hardly put a foot wrong in the DFB-Pokal so far this season, conceding just one goal (and that too in extra time). And Julian Nagelsmann will be hoping for another strong defensive performance from his side, as he looks to lead them to their first-ever trophy.

Borussia Dortmund defeated RB Leipzig on Saturday to make it five wins in a row in all competitions, and go into the DFB-Pokal final with momentum on their side. But the Black and Yellows will know that the form book counts for very little when it comes to the DFB-Pokal.
Borussia Dortmund will be desperate come out on top in Berlin as they look to win the DFB-Pokal for the first time since 2017. Winning the DFB-Pokal would certainly go a long way in salvaging what has been a very up and down season so far for BVB.
