Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland both scored braces as Borussia Dortmund won the DFB-Pokal for the fifth time in the club’s history, defeating RB Leipzig 4-1 in the final.

Borussia Dortmund began the game brilliantly and took the lead in just the fifth minute through Jadon Sancho. More incisive counter-attacking football led to Erling Haaland making it 2-0 at the half hour mark.

Sancho then made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time, as the Black and Yellows looked to be cruising towards victory in the DFB-Pokal final.

RB Leipzig responded well after the break and pulled a goal back through Dani Olmo. But Erling Haaland made it 4-1 in the 87th minute to seal the trophy for Edin Terzic’s side.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from the game.

Roman Bürki (6.5/10)

Bürki dealt with whatever Leipzig threw at him really well. He wasn’t tested as much as Leipzig would have liked. But he played with great confidence in the second half, and Dani Olmo needed a stunning strike to finally beat him.
