Lukasz Piszczek (7/10)

Piszczek put in a solid performance and played with great composure. He defended well and kept things tight on his flank, even though Leipzig exerted great pressure on the Dortmund defence in the second half. And he also delivered an excellent cross to Marco Reus in the second half, which was just intercepted at the final moment.

Manuel Akanji (8/10)

Akanji delivered another rock-solid performance in the heart of the Borussia Dortmund defence. He defended with great resolve and won the majority of his duels. He also helped make sure that Hwang and Poulsen were barely a threat to the BVB defence.

Mats Hummels (7/10)

Hummels made several important interceptions and clearances for his side and led the defence really well. He was largely solid and did his job really well, barring a couple of small errors.

Raphael Guerreiro (5.5/10)

Guerreiro was too lazy when tracking back on a number of occasions. He also gave the ball away too easily for Dani Olmo’s goal. He didn’t get too many chances to go forward, but forced a save from Gulacsi in the 85th minute.
