Marco Reus (10/10)

Reus looked like a man on a mission, and he led the team from the front. His all-round play was simply world class, and he was involved in all four of Borussia Dortmund’s goals. He also did brilliantly to set up Thorgan Hazard in the second half, but the Belgian international fluffed his chance. It was a truly incredible performance from the Borussia Dortmund captain, as he played with more energy and desire than anyone else on the pitch. No more deserves the trophy more than him.

Jadon Sancho (8.5/10)

Sancho set the tone for Borussia Dortmund, scoring the early opener with a gorgeous finish. He then added a second on the stroke of half time. He should have completed his hat-trick late in the second half, but made the wrong decision after going through on goal. Another mistake he made came in the 75th minute, when his sloppy back pass to Roman Bürki nearly led to Leipzig halving their deficit.

Erling Haaland (9/10)

Haaland helped set up Sancho’s opener, and then found the back of the net himself in the 28th minute. He then added his second to seal the Pokal triumph late on. The Norwegian international caused Upamecano all sorts of problems over the course of the time he spent on the pitch, and he kept pushing right up until he was subbed off in stoppage time.
