Borussia Dortmund booked their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League with a 3-1 win over Mainz 05. It was a professional performance by the Black and Yellows, who dominated the game and got the job done relatively comfortably in the end.

Raphael Guerreiro opened the scoring in the first half with a lovely effort from the edge of the box. Marco Reus then made it 2-0, before Julian Brandt came off the bench to score the third and seal the win.

The win means that Borussia Dortmund can no longer be caught by fifth placed Eintracht Frankfurt, with just one game left in the season. Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 3-1 win over Mainz.

Roman Bürki (7/10)

Bürki put in a commanding performance and made some vital saves in the second half to make sure that Mainz weren’t able to find a way back into the game. Some of the saves he made were really good, especially considering that the second half was played on a very slippery surface.
