Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)

Playing in a slightly deeper role, Dahoud wasn’t able to get involved in the attacking play as much as he would have liked. But he still worked hard for the team without the ball and helped keep Mainz at bay for the majority of the game.

Jude Bellingham (6/10)

Bellingham had a half-decent chance to open the scoring for Borussia Dortmund, but he fired his shot just wide. He showed glimpses of his quality over the 87 minutes he spent on the pitch, but wasn’t able to make a big impact going forward. Although he did manage to make a couple of important interceptions on Mainz counter-attacks.
