Gio Reyna (5/10)

Gio Reyna had another off day as he failed to make much of an impact on the game. Despite his commitment and hard work, he wasn’t able to cause too many problems to the Mainz defence. The 18 year old was replaced by Julian Brandt in the 76th minute.

Marco Reus (7.5/10)

Reus turned home Borussia Dortmund’s second goal on the stroke of half time. It was a much-needed goal, considering how the second half played out. He was once again heavily involved in the attacking play, and showed just why he deserves to be in the Germany squad for the Euros.

Jadon Sancho (7.5/10)

Sancho assisted both of Borussia Dortmund’s first half goals, taking his assist tally for the season in the Bundesliga to double figures. He also came close to scoring in the second half, only to be denied by a fantastic save from the goalkeeper. His decision making wasn’t always the best, as evidenced by the fact that he lost the ball 24 times. But he still managed to make the difference when it mattered the most.

Erling Haaland (6/10)

Haaland worked hard for the team but was kept relatively quiet by the Mainz defence. He still managed to set up Julian Brandt’s goal which made it 3-0 for Borussia Dortmund.
